Cindy J. Dennis was born and raised in Oklahoma City where she shared her life with loving parents and four sisters along with numerous cousins and friends. Even as a child she had a passion for creating art in many forms, designs and colors. In her youth, she enjoyed great opportunities to learn a variety of media, techniques and use of simple tools in addition to her ole faithful brushes. You could always find Cindy picking up books, magazines or brochures that had even a hint of art subjects, to study to help improve her styles and methods.
Cindy's paintings grew in popularity and one of her first employers, Penn Square Bank, invited her to display and sell her paintings in the bank's lobby. The bank also commissioned her to paint Christmas scenes on all their windows and doors. She accepted this challenge, painting nearly non-stop from Friday when the bank doors closed, until midnight Sunday, in order for the bank customers and employees to enjoy their Christmas surprise .
Cindy married young, at eighteen and her marriage, being blessed with four children and working career put her art on hold. Many years later as her children grew up and made their own way in life, Cindy dusted off her stored art supplies and returned to one of the things she loves most. She immediately realized how much she missed painting and the joy sharing her art provided.
Cindy is proud that her paintings have found their way into private collections across the United States and in Northern Ireland. She believes art provides incredible gifts to inspire and delight and asks you to open your heart, mind and imagination to the endless possibilities that art provides.
